1 out of 5 stars Not good at all   December 30, 2008
Malise Hulme
I wanted a PS2 type controller because I find some games easier to play that way, so I went for this one, which was fairly low budget, but a controller is a controller, right?
Wrong. The rumble function doesn't work. At all. Multiple reinstalls and downloads have done nothing to fix that.
The buttons are clunky and insensitive which makes maneuvering and speedy play impossible.
And to top it all off, the analog sticks are in two parts, and the top pad on both fell off pretty much right away (and one of them has never been seen again).
In short, don't buy this, spend a few more quid, it'll be worth it.

1 out of 5 stars Looks better than it feels   October 17, 2008

I bought this Joypad based on the fact that it has the same layout as a PS2 controller and the rumble aspect of it was an attractive feature. However, the look is where the similarity to the PS2 pad ends. The joypad itself has a number of flaws which, when combined, make it very poor indeed - especially for the 15 I paid for it. One of my main problems was the size, the grips are far too long and I found they were uncomfortable to hold and as another reviewer has accurately said, the d-pad is difficult to use when you need to be precise. I also found the analogue sticks were too loose and lacked resistance while the shoulder buttons too tight. I would consider myself a casual gamer, so there has to be something seriously wrong for me to find so many flaws in a joypad.

2 out of 5 stars Rumble? More like crumble   October 29, 2007

Plenty of buttons and responsive in games.
The main problem is that within 2 weeks of using the gamepad the 2 thumb paddles just crumbled so had to use the stumps, until they too crumbled.
Ok, so my thumbs may get sweaty and sweat contains salt but surely this would not cause them to crumble into bits so soon.
I only used the pad now and then (not constant) and did not use too much force but really disappointed that the essential parts should fail in such a short time.

1 out of 5 stars Awful   October 7, 2007

I bought two of these a few months ago because they were cheap, and I figured that a gamepad couldn't really have anything horribly wrong with it. They've had about as much wear and tear as any gamepad I've ever owned, but unlike other gamepads I've owned, they're both broken. On one, the left analogue stick has disappeared partially back into the casing (meaning it gets stuck at regular intervals, and you can't move it) and on the other, the left stick's top has broken off, leaving the plastic sharp and incredibly uncomfortable to use. Also, the buttons become less responsive the more you press them, and again on both pads the most commonly-used buttons now take more pressing to register. Bear in mind these things have not happened as a result of dropping the pad or anything, they happened during use.

The pad feels cheap when you first start using it, and if it sees a lot of use, it WILL disintegrate pretty quickly. Logic3 have successfully lost a customer, as I wouldn't touch another one of their products with a barge pole after having two gamepads break within a couple of weeks of each other. Leave well alone.

1 out of 5 stars Poor quality - avoid   June 17, 2007

The vibration feature didn't work out of the box, despite reinstalling the driver twice from disk and then downloading it from the web (XP Pro). Then the L analog joystick broke within 4 hrs of light use (TRA). Very disappointing product - I'm now going to follow my initial instincts and buy a more expensive one!
