Oh my God... October 26, 2008 Chad Bronson (Barnsley, UK) Oh My God... Thats really all I can say. For less than a 5, you are literally getting a steal with this device. It looks and feels like an original XBOX controller, and so is the correct weight for it, only with extra buttons, so to play Halo on PC was like literally emulating Halo decently. The Mouse Mimik "emulates" a mouse decently, though the left trigger on the mouse are on the right on the joypad, and vice versa, though to cram this feature is quite cool! The black plastic, note, platic, feels quite comfortable. Nice done. Compatabilty? Drivers work all the way from as early as Windows 98, all the way to Windows XP! (Note to readers, It does not work on Vista! So I get to play my game whilst my brother grimaces and gives me nasty V-Signs while I play such games as Halo. (Halo very lagged on his Vista laptop! Muhahahahaha!)) It also asks you to program, dont be scared, all it is is clicking buttons and alligning them with the controller. After a few minutes, job done. Its as simple as that. Overall, brilliant, and I nearly conned my brother into buying my controller off me, after a quick search on Amazon, he found out that it didnt work on Vista. Grrr!
A bargain September 30, 2008 Tom Vernon (UK) I have been using this for a week now and am very happy with it. Design is pretty much identical to the original xbox controller (the smaller second edition version that is). It fits comfortably in the hands and all the buttons are well placed. It feels pretty sturdy and all the buttons feel to be good quality, as are the triggers and analog sticks. I even like the software supplied with it, which is very rare for me - it's simple and just does everything you need it to. All in all a very good controller at a bargin price. Highly recommended.
It does work with Vista... June 28, 2007 Alex Crawford (Plymouth, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Mr. Mark B. Ashley "piperian15" is wrong, it works fine with Vista if you wish to use it as a standard joypad. It is the software that is incompatible with Vista, so you cannot assign macros to buttons (buttons can be configured in most games anyway) or use the "mouse" feature (which I never have, you'd have to be stupid to play a FPS game with it). You'll probably want to swap the sticks around for most games as they seem to be backwards by default, press the 2 shoulder buttons (7 and 8) and buttons 9 and 10 at the same time to do this. It's all in the manual.... For the price you can't beat it. Excellent quality, great value.
It doesnt work with Vista! May 31, 2007 Mr. Mark B. Ashley (London) 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
Very disappointing. No mention on Amazon or in the vendor info or web-site that this does not work with Vista yet. The vendor support line were no use and just kept suggesting we check the support site every couple of weeks to see when it will be supported. Shame, as it seemed like a good product but it's going back...
Neo S Controller May 9, 2007 Mr. Terrence Jowle (North Yorkshire) Bought this for my grandson who found it simple and easy to use. Even I can use it but not as well as the younger generation.
