100 classic books collection July 26, 2010 Queen Stars (UK) This was a gift for my mother, she's very happy with it and I'm desparate to borrow it.
This DS (non) game features books from a series of great Victorian era authours, such as; Charles Dickens and Jane Austin, all in one small package.
If your a bookworm, long to read many texts, yet may not have the room in your house, this is for you.
Also, think of the money you'll save.
A Book Not A Game June 24, 2010 Not A Computer (Rochester, England) I had been promising myself 100 Classic Books Collection since I first heard of the "game". Received the brain training and I loved that... A few weeks ago I received a voucher for Amazon and decided that was the treat I deserved. Worried about the screen size, I decided to at least try it out and at the price it was well worth it. I am hooked, took it to a doctor's appointment at the hospital where one always has to wait ages, it is such a convenient size, fits beautifully into my bag. I was hard pressed to hear my name called so engrossed in the book, even the page turning which I initially thought would be a pain, just seems to come naturally. Cannot believe I waited so long to get one. Many of the books I have read before but because of the new medium they seem different, and still enjoyable. If you love reading and promised yourself the book, the one you may not have read while at school or beyond, then this is a really good buy. What are you waiting for, at the price give it a go, I definitely recommend this, to all ages, anyone who enjoys reading will enjoy this as it has all genres of books, something for everyone and plenty of them to choose from.
Are there any more coming out? June 6, 2010 Ms. R. C. Preddy (Umeå, Sweden) This game is more of an ereader card, than a game per se, but I love it. I have many classics that I should read, and a good deal of them are on this cartridge. So far I have only read one through, but it was very enjoyable, and I hope in future to see more titles like this. I have downloaded ebooks in the past, but sitting at the computer to read them is uncomfortable, so many so far have gone unread. Being able to acces what you're reading instantly, wherever you are, and instead of having to lug around some pretty heavy books, is a big plus for me. It's such an easy format too, either flipping the page with your stylus, or with the gamepad.
nintendo 100 Classics June 5, 2010 William A. Paterson (Glasgow) Not all the 100 books are readable today but enough of them are to make this a worthwhile buy for tose without e-readers.
The Nintendo displays the print well and has packaged the books with simple introductions. Certainly not as much text on a page (or two pages) and thus you need to turn over more than on a reader -- and do so with your pointeer -- but hardly an inconvenience.
Good For Starters May 16, 2010 Albatross (Wiltshire, England) This is great for people who don't want to spend out on an e-reader. It's not so versatile but you soon get used to the relatively short content on each page. I read it in bed and it's good to be able to turn the pages by pressing a button! The content is good but a little heavy on Shakespeare for my taste. I hope they'll put out a few more collections for different tastes.
